Description: Syd stands 6'1". His upper body is broad and muscular. His full head of straight dark-brown medium-length hair stands facing naturally backwards and is continued down the side of his face and partway along his jawbone by well groomed side burns. The hair on the back of his head is significantly longer and he keeps it in a single ponytail. Syd's orange-brown eyes are filled with ambition and insight.

History: Syd Ariav was born the son of Napols, the chief of the lion tribe. Syd was the youngest of Napols' three children. His eldest sister seven years older than him named Amsterdam and his five year older brother London. Even though Syd's mother died in child birth Napols did not love his youngest son any less.

While their father was busy with tribal matters, other women from the tribe gratefully took care of the three kids acting as nannies. Syd was closer to his sister than he was to anyone else while he and his brother were almost constantly at odds with each other. From a young age he was conditioned to become the chief of the lion tribe as were many of the children born around the same time as him. Syd's ability to rally others and settle conflicts exceeded those of any of his age mates which impressed his father greatly. He was taught how to fight by his father and older sister each day after school but he fought with his brother the most.

As the years past the war steadily escalated until Napols, chief of the lion tribe had to be involved in combat almost every day. Inevitably he was defeated and for a time the lion tribe was in chaos. As was tradition a tournament was held between the members of the lion tribe who were of similar ages to the previous chief's offspring. Syd, then 16 and grieving for his beloved father bested all challengers eventually beating London in the final round to earn the position of chief of the lion tribe.

London resented his brother. His bitterness and malice led him to betray the lion tribe by giving up a fellow clan member to a rival clan to die. Once Syd got wind of this he tracked down his brother and killed him himself. After that point Syd stepped up the actions of the lion clan as a whole encouraging fellow tribe members to acquisition territory from other tribes in a way that did not necessarily increase violent conflict but adds to the unrest among the rivaling tribes.
